Wednesday 17th - Sunday 21st June
Wednesday 17th June: Book your flight with Ryan Air (www.ryanair.com) to Zaragoza (Spanish Pyrenees) from Stansted. We will meet you at Zaragoza airport and transport you to Jaca, a lovely Spanish town 10 miles from Sabiñánigo. Accommodation will be for 4 nights on half board basis (bed, breakfast and 3-course evening meal) in an excellent 3 star hotel.
Thursday 18th June: For those that want to give their legs a gentle workout and see first hand part of the route, we will do a 50 km ride in the morning. Thursday afternoon and evening is time to relax. There are plenty of cafés, restaurants and bars to help you fuel up. There is also a local bike shop for any last minute purchases.
Friday 19th June: Friday morning is free, although another easy ride will be arranged for those that want one. In the afternoon we will go to Sabiñánigo to sign on and collect our dorsal, electronic chip and commemorative cycling jersey. At the registration point there is also a large cycling fair where you can see the latest products from the likes of Orbea, Selle Italia, Campagnola and Polar.
Saturday 20th June: THE MAIN EVENT
After an early breakfast we will leave the hotel at approx. 6.00 a.m. to travel by coach from Jaca to Sabiñánigo. The starting time is expected to be 7.30 a.m.
Sunday 21st June: After breakfast we shall leave Jaca and travel by coach back to Zaragoza for the Ryan Air flight to Stansted. Based on this year´s timetable, expected arrival in London is 2.30 p.m.
COST: £TBC (not including flight).
INCLUDES:
• 4 nights Half Board accommodation at a 3* Hotel based on sharing a twin room
(single rooms, depending on availability, may be booked for a total extra cost of 100 pounds. Triple rooms may also be available, please ask if interested).
• Airport transfers
• Coach transport from Jaca to Sabiñánigo for the start and return transport after the finish
• Entry fee including maillot, water bottle, medal and diploma.

OPTION TWO ITINERARY 2009
Sat 13th – Sun 21st June
INCLUDES:
• Fly to Alicante or Valencia and join us at our base in Denia
• Stay in a villa (or 3 star hotel)
• Do 2-3 warm weather rides to get acclimatized for Quebrantahuesos
• Travel with us to Sabiñánigo on Wednesday
• Thursday – Sun as option one above. Please Note : If you cannot book a one way flight home from Zaragoza to Stansted you can return with us to Denia on Sunday and we will drop you off at Alicante airport on Monday afternoon.

Recommendations and Bookings
• This event is fully subscribed every year and if you are interested we will need your reservation before the opening subscription date in February 2009. To book your place now click here.
• Travel Insurance is a must.
• Make sure you book the bike with Ryan Air at time of reservation
• The ride is long and hard. You will need to be capable of riding 100+ miles in mountainous terrain. The majority of cyclist take between 7-10 hours to finish. Winning time in 2007 was 5 hrs 21 mins.

Please note, we will run a Quebrantahuesos/Etape training programme in April from our Costa Blanca base. This will give you a good opportunity to do plenty of mileage in warm weather. This will include a 200 km vehicle-supported ride with long and steep climbs to test your form: date TBC .
