Can I hire a bike from you? Yes, We have a full range (all sizes) of Road & HardTail Mtb bikes available. Just let us know what size bike you need or tell us your height. You need to bring your own shoes , pedals helmet, & water bottles. But we can sometime provide these If I bring my own bike how should I pack it? Your bike can be pack in a hard bike box or padded bag. Or get a cardboard bike box from your local bike shop. Then pack the bike with foam piping and bubble wrap. I've done this lots of times and I've never had a problem . If your bike isn't packaged up the airline may refuse to take it. If I bring my own bike what gearing should I use? W e recommend Compact gearing 50/34 Front. 12/25 or 27 rear. However if you are a trained club level rider you should have no problem with regular race Gearing. What if my bike needs repairing whilst in Spain ? We are just 1 km from The best bike shop in the area Ex treme Bikes of Denia. So if needs be, it's easy to get your bike in for repair. BUT It's always a good idea to get your bike serviced before you come over. Doing so may save you a lost days riding MAYBE TWO DAYS over a weekend & help keep your mates happy! ! Will I be fit enough for the local rides? If you have any doubts about your abilities please just let us know before you arrive, or once here. We have a full range of planned routes to suit all rider levels. Remember as you are on holiday you will have the chance to relax and recover from each ride, and be fresh for the next day. Many of our guests far exceed their riding expectations. So don't worry about it, get yourself over here and do what you can do. You'll love it. Are airport transfers included in the price? Transfers & Transport for you and your bike are included in the price where stated . Are flights included? NO. Do I need insurance? Yes, it's a condition of your booking that you take out adequate insurance to cover you whilst riding a bike here in Spain . WE also recommend you obtain a European health insurance card . Available at the post office, this provides you with free health care whilst in Spain . But has to be in addition to your private travel insurance . Do I have to wear a helmet? It is a condition of your booking that you wear a helmet whilst riding your bike. Spanish law states you must wear a helmet whilst riding a bike. Your travel insurance may be invalid if you do not wear a helmet. What Cycling & off the bike clothing should I bring? You should prepare for all type of weather. Bring a selection & change of clothing. It sometimes rains & gets cold thru the months of Jan/ Feb/ March. Through the winter we ordinarily wear long sleeved tops with wind proof Gillets. Shorts!, but with leg or knee warmers. And wind-proof over shoes are a great idea for us softies. Most Uk riders are used to the cold, Of course , But bring the warm clothing just in case. It's advisable to bring at the very least a light fleece jacket to wear during the evenings of the winter months. Check the forecast before you fly. Always remember to bring sun cream even in the winter . Why does it cost more for an Mtb week over a road stay? 90% of our Road riding routes go direct from your accommodation, which is conveniently located for you to enjoy your time OFF the bike. We want to show you the best MTb trails in the area. To do this we will sometimes need to take a short drive from the Hotel or Villa to the start of the trail. So the additional cost is to cover this transport. Do you supply Maps & Routes? Yes we have a very comprehensive and thoroughly researched Routes Catalogue. Each route comes supplied with a map, directions, Route profile, helpful telephone numbers & suggested café stops. Can I buy Porridge in Spain ? Yes you can! Its called “Copos de Avena”. Every supermarket will have it. But if you are addicted to Scott's Porridge Oates, It's probably better you bring your own.
